 The Coin Museum is the one of its kind museum of Asia located some 25km from Nashik. It lies on the Nashik-Trimbak road. It was founded under the Indian Institute of Research in Numismatic Studies, in the year 1980.
The Coin Museum has a fine collection of research and well-documented history of Indian currencies. The articles that you can see here include coins, moulds, dyes, replicas, photographs, and concise write-ups. You can also actually see the processes involved in coin manufacturing. The main aim behind the establishment of the Coin Museum is to maintain records on the history of the currencies of India, give an idea about the Indian coins to the visitors and also promote coin collection.
