Sai Baba’s Sacred Place

ShirdiShirdi is the abode of the savior of the poor Shri Sai Baba. Shirdi Sai Baba has followers all over the world. Shirdi is close to the holy city Nashik just at the distance of 97kms.

  • Reach by road :
    Shirdi is accessible via the Ahmednagar – Manmad State Highway No.10. It is located 97km from Nashik, 83 km from Ahmednagar, 15 km from Kopargaon and 229km from Mumbai. There are many State, private buses & taxis plying from these to Shirdi.
  • Reach by train :
    The railway station in Shirdi is known as “Sainagar Shirdi” which was inaugurated in 2009. Trains from Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Mumbai (Maharashtra), Vishakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) have stoppage at Shirdi.
  • Reach by air :
    Helicopter services are available to Shirdi but the permission of the trust to land here is required. The airports falling close to Shirdi are Aurangabad(domestic) 150km, Mumbai (international) 282km, Nashik-Ozar (domestic) 90kms.
  • Places to See :
    Samadhi Mandir – The temple built in the fond memory of Sai Baba after he passed away.
    Dwarkamai: This place was used as a residence when Sai Baba came to Shirdi
    Gurusthan: The place where Sai Baba came as a child ascetic and sat in deep samadhi under a Neem tree.
    Chavadi: Sai Baba used to sleep after returning from a procession from Dwarkamai to Chawadi.
    Lendi Baug: Sai Baba used to visit this garden daily for watering the plants.
    Samadhi of Abdulbaba: The place dedicated to the Muslim devotee of Sai Baba who use to read out the Quran for him.
    Maruti Temple: The temple Sai Baba visited regularly.
