| The state has received 22 per cent above average rainfall this year, Maharashtra government said on Wednesday.
Till September 13, the state had recorded 1,222.7 mm rainfall, which is 122.7 per cent of the average rainfall. State’s seasonal average rainfall is 996.3 mm. Coastal areas of the state received 20 per cent or more rainfall. Several parts of central Maharashtra too recorded more than 120 percent rainfall this year. Nashik, Nandurbar and Kolhapur were the only three districts that received little less share of monsoon compared to the rest of the state.
